  1. Hi Ussuf. We have been on Ready status since July 2023 and still haven’t received our interview date. Contacted congressman and the consulate is not helping. I am seeing cases taking 7-8 months until an interview date. Hope this helps.
  2. Update: I forgot to mention that I reached out to the senator and he didn’t do anything to help me. Case has been escalated with the call center since August 2023. I think it all depends on who touches your case at the embassy because some just don't want to help. We have exhausted everything possible. Congressman and my lawyer are getting the same thing from the embassy as well.
  3. Hi ! We filed in Feb 2022 and our case has been in Casablanca since JULY 2023. I have voiced out the same thing you have and my lawyer and congressman are getting nowhere with the Visa Unit in Casablanca they are pretty much telling us to wait in line . And it’s disheartening because there are people who filed months after us and got interviews which is such an injustice. This whole process is messed up. These people are playing with our lives and it’s an endless waiting game. We already have gone over the normal processing time that says on the casablanca site of 3-6 months. We are heading toward month 7 of waiting since our case landed in their hands. Hang in there. There are so many others like us waiting.
  4. Hi There , I am a February 2022 filer. Our case has been in Casablanca since July 20 2023. Still nothing. I have tried everything and emailing the email for the K1 that was mentioned multiple times with no response. The website on Casablanca embassy states that the processing for an interview can take anywhere from 3-6 months. This January literally tomorrow will be 6 months of waiting. Unfortunately this process is a horrible waiting game. These people are playing with our lives but unfortunately its the process. I feel so helpless. Just hoping we will hear something soon since we are already at month 6.
  5. I’m a February 2022 filer I’ve noticed there are other filers who filed after me 4 up to 6 months and are getting interview dates because they are reaching out to the congressman. Does the consulate have any consideration for those of us who filed  way before they did, and scheduling us a visa interview much sooner than the interview date that they are getting ? It is disheartening Casablanca is doing this for those of us who had to wait for all these months. It is completely unfair and such an injustice. My congressman recently reached out to them and awaiting a response but would we have a priority since we filed way before the ones who are already getting interviewe dates and them

being June to July 2022 Filers ? Does anyone have any idea of how this works?

Have u  received any notice to fill out the ds 160 after paying the fee?

that would be needed to open the scheduling page to schedule your own interview

still wonder about paying that fee as that's for tourist visa and embassy site says to pay there at interview/ paying it at the bank may have messed u up

      • $265 paid in cash at the Consulate, in either U.S. Dollars or the equivalent in Moroccan Dirhams.

  6. Writing on my timeline to provide insight to other filers . Our case has been at the Consulate since 7/20/23. Apparently it can take from 4-6 months to get a reply from the Consulate. The call center number is useless because the agents do not schedule appointments and they have basic information which they state when you ask questions. The emails that are on the website go unanswered. The silence is deafening. But what I have learned through this difficult  journey is patience.  I am thankful for this time because during this waiting period me and my Fiance have been getting to know each other more. I think it's so important to know each other on deeper levels. To be honest even married couples say that they never stop learning from one another. I hope this post serves as encouragement to others. Have Faith that everything happens for a reason. Get to know one another more and more so that when your fiance arrives everything can just fit into place. 🥰

      Hopefully u will hear soon

and i hope this time learning about each other is not just chats and phone calls but face time as its important to Casa

Do the Moroc forum a big favor and ask  Casa is changing the system to pay the ds 160 for K1 as the US embassy site still says to pay it at embassy / we   normally pay for tourist ds 160 at the bank but not K1.

  7. Hi there, Can you share when you received your interview date or how long did it take for you to get your interview date from the time your case arrived at the embassy. Any information will be appreciated. Our case has been at the embassy since 7/20/2023.

  8. I’m New. I don’t know anything about an African Forum. To my understanding you create a topic /question under K1 since it shows what country our case is in. I did the same thing last time and got a lot of replies on a question I had. Thanks !!
  9. Per the link the embassy sent to me for our portal. We took our slip to Banque Populaire where they gave us a receipt number. We entered it on the portal as instructed and it says the consulate will reach out to us with an interview date. All I need to know is how long it takes for the Consulate to get back with an date.
  10. Morning 🫡 Does anyone know approximately how long it takes for the consulate to get back to you with an interview date after you paid your fee and according to my legal assistant, we have been escalated case, but I wanted to see approximately how long it takes for them to get back to us. Thanks in advance.
  11. I updated my timeline 😀 I def want to help others too. I am grateful that there is an online forum to help one another out. I keep hearing bad things about the Casablanca embassy. I think it depends on the person who conducts the interview. We are def looking forward for the next chapter in our lives. It's just very hard when there is nothing but silence. I keep checking my emails every single day to see if we get an email but I'm trying to stop doing that because I don't want to drive myself bonkers.
  12. Thank You so much for your kind reply I am definitely grateful for the information given and will definitely use this. Thank You for this Jeanne
  13. When I called the call center. They said my lawyer did expedite it. They provided me a case number. We are basically waiting for the consulate to send us the information to move forward. My legal assistant said that every consulate is different and processes things differently. ( I asked the hard questions) These cases can’t expire because the immigration officer at the embassy has the ability to change the date( that was on the uscis approval letter) we also tried scheduling the interview but the system isn’t recognizing his credentials. Legal assistant said it is because they haven’t gotten to his packet yet. I’m just trying to get insights to try to help the anxiousness.
  14. Good morning, I am a new member and I needed some help and some insight. Our case is in Casablanca Morocco since July 18,2023. We filled out the DS 160. We are in READY status on the stat tracker. Our lawyer said we are waiting for Casablanca to schedule the interview for us ? Does anyone know from experience how long it usually takes to get an interview. Our case will have 3 months in Casablanca this 10/18. Does anyone have any emails or contact numbers besides the call center because they are not helpful. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much.
