My husband received his NOA1 today, only for the EAD -- still no NOA1 for AOS yet. He has had his biometrics appointment letter for some time, and the biometrics appointment is for EAD and AOS, so his NOA1 for AOS is floating around out there somewhere. Strangely, the biometrics letter went to our PO box, which we prefer, but the NOA1 came to our home. That's fine, since he needs proof of physical address for some other things anyway, and now he has it.

The NOA1 lists the received date as 7/28/07 and the notice date as 8/31/07.

Please update us. Thanks. :)

We actually got our NOA's for the I-485 and I-765 today... What we got last saturday was the Bio appointment letter..Which looks very much like a NOA (because it is one)..

I am new here. But slightly concerned about the dates.

My lawyer said they sent my package in on July 27th. I told them to pay the increased fee because I didnt want to risk it. They didn't and my package was returned for not having the right amount.

I dont understand how this happened for me. Has this happened for anyone else. The note said the package was received on July 30th.

5/10/2011 - Received note to appear for oath ceremony on 5/14/2011 (I guess no additional information was needed afterall :))

5/14/2011 - Oath ceremony (it was 3 hours long). Got certificate . . . YAY!!!!

If your package was postmarked prior to July 30th, then you submitted the correct amount if you used the old fees. USCIS are incorrect for having sent it back.

The AILA has suggested that you send the packet back to them with a cover letter - preferrably on a bright colored sheet of paper - explaining that you sent the packet prior to the fee increase, thus, the old fee structure should apply.

You'll also want to send proof that it was sent in prior to July 30th - either a copy of the postmark from the previous packet, or a copy of your delivery confirmation with postmark (if you used delivery confirm), etc.

And of course, be sure you enclose the checks again too.

Please update our info:

Our checks were cashed on Sept. 5th

We recieved our NOA1s for AOS, EAD, and AP on Sept. 10th

We recieved biometrics apt NOA on Sept. 11th

Biometrics apt set for Sept 28th

On the NOAs, our Received Date was July 31st, but the Notice date was Sept. 5th. Guess that makes me a Sept. filer.
