hey guys,

i see a lot of topics regarding what documents to bring to your k1 visa interview but i wanted to see if theres 2023 latest updates on what we need to prepare in terms of financial documents

a couple of q’s:

1. how many months / years worth of:

- paystubs

- tax transcripts

- income statements

2. if my fiance only has 2021,2022; will the co know that we cant get 2023 tax transcripts yet or do we need proof that we cant obtain it? (sorry if this question is worded poorly and is confusing)

3. any other suggestions and advice on what documents i should be bringing

thanks in advance,

michelle

We do not do 2023 tax returns till spring of 2024

u should have W2 for the year of taxes

u also need proof of his US residency (copy of photo state ID or driving license)

the most recent pay stub will have the year to date total of income

I 134 filled out by petitioner

Required documents (originals) is on the following site but check your US embassy for any additional they might require

thanks so much for your response. :)

another question, for i134 filing. my fiance in the US recently changed his home address (only apartment number changed), should we have the new address written on the i134?

the mailing address is still the same though.

The ustraveldocs website or the embassy that you'll be interviewing at should tell you exactly which records and for how many years to bring.  (Packet 3 & 4)

For the US Embassy in Bangkok Thailand, we only need to provide the most-recent tax transcript. Though, taxes need to be filed for the past 3 years (when applicable).  So, your fiance should have a tax return or an approved non-filing status also for 2020
