  1. hey guys, i had my biometrics done - 27th December 2023 - and i still havent gotten any updates other than “fingerprints updated” my case number starts with MSC24xxxxx i havent gotten my EAD either. is anyone on the same boat? is this a normal wait? because i see people getting their combo cards &/ green cards in less than 2 months should i be inquiring to uscis? if so, how? or just wait it out? i need to start working soon and this process is getting extremely exhausting any advice would be appreciated! thanks a lot, michelle
  2. did anybody receive packet 3 yet? also how long does it take to get packet 4 after packet 3?
  3. hey all, i received my case number a couple of weeks ago. we’ve missed 2 shipping dates by now. and people with the same julian date as mine has gotten their ready statuses. do you think i should send an inquiry?
  4. will the officer see that as inconsistency during the interview? should i be providing that information during the interview or prior and report it to nvc?
  5. hey there, my fiance in the US changed his home address (NOT his mailing address) do i need to notify nvc or uscis? my case is currently at nvc if so, how do i go about notifying them? asking because i dont know whether to put the new address in my ds160 and i134 or should i just notify them during the interview? thanks a lot, michelle
  6. thanks so much for your response. another question, for i134 filing. my fiance in the US recently changed his home address (only apartment number changed), should we have the new address written on the i134? the mailing address is still the same though.
  7. hey guys, i see a lot of topics regarding what documents to bring to your k1 visa interview but i wanted to see if theres 2023 latest updates on what we need to prepare in terms of financial documents a couple of q’s: 1. how many months / years worth of: - paystubs - tax transcripts - income statements 2. if my fiance only has 2021,2022; will the co know that we cant get 2023 tax transcripts yet or do we need proof that we cant obtain it? (sorry if this question is worded poorly and is confusing) 3. any other suggestions and advice on what documents i should be bringing thanks in advance, michelle
  8. i dont and will not ask them to lie. i am merely asking because i want to know if anyone has concerns or has experienced any/ if there were issues with this. they will only be in the US for one week because they have to be back home anyway to take care of their business and our family. we have paperwork and evidence to provide this so i dont know why i was thinking the worst i was only worried because i had heard about people getting deported. with the answers given to this post and the advice, it makes total sense to be completely transparent with the intensions and it is to the discretion of the officers whether they choose to let them or not to let them enter. thanks again everyone.
  9. hi everyone, ive been wondering this for a while and i could really use your help and advice i am a k1 visa beneficiary about to start my life in the USA. i will be having a traditional wedding ceremony when im there and i ofcourse want my family to be there. my family has never been to the US. i want them to apply for a tourist visa. my questions are as follows: 1) should i have them put my visa details for their DS160 form? or should i leave it blank? 2) on their interview, should i tell my parents to not mention that they will be visiting me? or is it okay to be completely honest about their intentions 3) is there a chance that they will be deported back when they arrive in the US? 4) has there been cases where parents case for tourist visas been denied because the officers think that they will be living permanently in the US? appreciate any advice you may have. thanks, m
