Is it necessary to bring a physical copy of the I-864 to interview?

Thanks.

It's advisable.  For an employed sponsor, also bring a more recent pay stub and the latest filed tax return, if not already in the file.

Better safe than sorry, it cost nothing to just email a copy to your beneficiary and have them print it in their country and a bring to the interview.  My spouse brought the originals and or copies of all the documents we submitted.  At the end they looked at none but if they were to ask, they were handy.

I honestly don't see the point of needing a copy of I-864 at interview.  The CO would already have it right in front of him, and one copy is the same as the another.  What would be the point of the interviewee needing to bring his own copy?

I'm asking because I do not have my joint sponsor's I-864.  It's uploaded by him and I can't see it.  I'll have to ask him for it if a copy is needed.

Can anyone tell me from experience whether the CO asked to see a copy of the I-864 at interview?

In Korea, you are required to bring a copy of the I-864. There are instructions you receive telling you the order to put your documents in and the website instructs family based applications to bring along copies of the I-864.

I don't see those instructions for AIT.

It is your choice to bring all the documents to the interview or you can choose to leave it at home.

The question you ask is consulate specific. So, I would read reviews out of Taiwan to see what people did.

We were instructed to take an I-864 in wife's Taipei interview (a few years ago).  If in doubt, take it.

BTW, I would change profile country to Taiwan.  Otherwise, any country/consulate specific stats and timelines will show under China instead of where the interview actually took place (Taiwan).
