08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Oliver Anthony’s Rich Men North of Richmond, the out-of-nowhere country song that went viral earlier this month, has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making him the first artist to ever notch a top single with no prior chart history in any form.


The song, which Anthony says is the first he ever recorded with a professional microphone, was widely shared online along with a video of bearded, Virginia-based singer playing an acoustic guitar in the woods. The song was streamed 17.5m times during the week ending 17 August, and a video of Anthony’s performance posted by the channel RadioWV has racked up 30 million views in 12 days.

Love it when the Regressive Left/Democrats get their panties in a bunch and start clutching their pearls.  Of course this author hits all the main points, but keeps coming back to Q.  Remember, 6+3+2+1+5 = 17, and Q is the 17th letter in the alphabet.  I think Trump was simply tolling the highly schooled, but unintelligent Left/progressives with his stats.  Regardless, what else to expect from an ultra-left site like Vox.

Hard on the heels of Aldean and Wallen, complete unknown Oliver Anthony went viral in August for his oppressed common-man anthem “Rich Men North of Richmond,” after a YouTube user released a video of Anthony performing the song live. Despite lyrics that reference QAnon themes and mock people on welfare with what many have read as racist stereotypes, the song is so popular that Anthony now has 18 songs currently ranking in the Apple Music Top 100. On August 22, he became the first artist in Billboard history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 without any prior chart history. His song was so popular as an expression of conservative rancor, in fact, that at the beginning of Wednesday night's GOP debate, Fox News moderators used the song to frame their opening questions to candidates.
