Nice! Did you guys receive packet from the Embassy in the mail or via email? Our case has been in ready status since Sept 14, but we haven't got anything from the embassy yet. Yesterday I sent an email asking what the next steps will be since Tashkent embassy doesn't have any specific instructions regarding K1 visa process. However, who knows when they'll reply since automated email response said it can take 10 business days for them to respond...

Consulate: Tashkent, Uzbekistan | I-129F Sent: 2022-07-07 | NOA1: 2022-07-12 | NOA2: 2023-07-18 NVC Left Consulate: 2023-09-12 | Ready: 2023-09-14

We got the NOA2 by regular mail, of course, but everything else has been email. We received 2 emails after the package got to the embassy. A short email giving us the case number and a longer one listing the next steps.

But we didn’t need them. As soon as our case went to ‘Ready’ we submitted the DS-160, made the payment, and  scheduled the appts.

We have only 2 concerns at this point 1. Will something go wrong at the medical checkup? (TB test), and 2. The CFO process is a big black hole of unknowns.

Got the medical done yesterday. Make sure to request a copy of your vaccination history from the clinic as you will need it later on when readjusting your status.

Interview upcoming next week.

Created profile on www.usvisascheduling.com and then also paid fees. One more step closer.

I have to say, it took me 6 attempts to enter all details before I could land on the visa fee payment page. The website is difficult to understand.

Going to wait 24 hours to start looking for appointment dates. Fingers crossed.

The one hiccup we have ran into is the UK PCC (police clearance certificate for UK). Their normal turnaround time is 15 working days but they are delayed by another 15 more. Makes me anxious but we will receive it before our planning interview dates (if we find those dates) of early November.

This whole process definitely tests patience and I hope things move forward for everyone at the earliest.

Thanks. Our embassy website says immigration unit supposed to send email instructions regarding next steps but it's been 11 days since "Ready" status but nothing from them yet. I even emailed them asking about next steps but automated email response saying that they'll respond within 10 business days 😞 . They won't answer visa related or case specific questions on the phone so it's been really frustrating. Waiting over the past 11 days felt longer than few months...

Reach out to others who have the same embassy/consulate as yours to see what their experience has been.

you can find such folks by going to your timeline page and then click on “show similar timeline”. Another option is to go to “country specific help” here https://www.visajourney.com/portals/

Update on i us. Fiancé has her medical sppt next Monday. She will attend by herself, with a friend for support. I am flying in on the 12th to bring all my original papers and we will be together for her interview on the 17th. Of course, even though it is the US Embassy, I went be allowed inside. How unbelievable is that? I’ll find a coffee shop and wait for the smiles.

Best case scenario, we will pick up her passport/Visa on about the 20th. But who knows? Then we start the mysterious Philippine CFO process. We have no idea how long that will take, but as soon as we get the certificate, I’ll buy plane tickets and we will make our way to the USA.

Long road to get here. Months and months of waiting and nothing and then everything seems to happen at once.

The Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO) Guidance and Counseling Program (GCP) is a program of the Philippine government that aims to protect Filipino fiancés and spouses of foreigners who wish to migrate overseas from human trafficking and other schemes.

Yep. Believe it or not. Not only that, but the finance must complete the whole immigration process, up to the point of having the visa in the passport, before they even can attend the course.
