Thought this was interesting.  I particularly like how the parties on the Right are described as or implied of being far right whack jobs, but the extreme Left groups like the Green, Socialists, Communists, etc. are implied to be reasonable.    Sure, I know this is a Politico article, so that explains a lot, but when will people actually see the Greens, Socialists, Communists are just as extreme as anyone on the Right.

The Patriots’ move has backed conservatives into a corner. The EPP has been reluctant to endorse the 2040 target, and was prepared to reject a motion initiated by the Greens to fast-track parliamentary talks on the goal. 

 

Now, however, that motion represents the best shot centrist forces have to curb the far right’s influence.  

 

That’s leaving the EPP with a fateful choice: Either throw its weight behind a fast-tracked target alongside the Greens, Socialists and Democrats, and other centrists — or side with the far right and risk dealing a death blow to von der Leyen’s fragile majority.

The result is rising temperatures that are rapidly eating into the remaining carbon budget (the amount of greenhouse gases that can be emitted within an agreed time). This will be exhausted in less than three years at current levels of emissions.

We know from watching CNN and the rest of the mainstream media that everything causes climate change.  We're supposed to stop eating meat because cow flatulence causes climate change.  Are we just supposed to kill off all the cows and start eating bugs?

Do you know who else eats meat?  Your dog.  Yes, your dog is contributing to climate change with its diet.  Are we supposed to get rid of dogs, too, or turn them all into vegetarians?  KOMO News out of Seattle alerts us to the problem by republishing the Associated Press' story.  [...]

i can only guess what the space maintenance bill will be for that fiasco.
