Hello, I apologize ahead of time if this is the wrong topic to be posting in. My fiance and I are finally at the point where she can enter the US. I was wondering when we get to immigration do I go with her to the non US passport line or do I go separate to the US passport line and wait until she is finished?

Go with her in the visitor line. You are in the same household how.

You want to go together.  I asked the crowd control person.  We were directed to the citizen line.  Others have had different experiences

I guess asking when we get there never hurt any. Just wanted a little information before we left due to the jet lag and rush. Haha Thank You!

The airport workers directing you to U.S. citizen line are not CBP officers. The citizen line is for citizens. Your fiancee is not a citizen.

Consider why there is a citizen line:

* it is a benefit to U.S. citizens

* processing is faster, because with few exceptions every citizen in that line has a U.S. passport and with few exceptions, U.S. citizens will not have their biometrics taken in that line.

* the CBP officer for that line might not be trained or set up to process non citizens

As I type this, the front page of VJ has a link to a post where the airport worker directing that OP to citizen line was  screamed at by the CBP officer.

Yup, as that OOP I reccomend just both of you going to the visitor's line. It's enough stress entering the country as a K-1, just go ahead and play it safe.

I have heard of only one K-1 entrant being denied entry.  When asked "Do you plan to marry within 90 days?", he replied "Maybe. Maybe not".  He was swiftly sent back to home country.

Yeah I mean that would do it. But regardless if most people get through, and you are right I am sure the grand majority don't have issues...it is still quite stressfull going through US borders as a foreigner.
