Hi all,

I have applied for visas for my parents. However, now that the cases have been sent to the National Visa Center (NVC), they have assigned one of the cases to Abu Dhabi and the other to Yerevan. Unfortunately, there is no US embassy where my parents reside, and NVC no longer accepts phone calls. Although I have already sent them an email, I have not yet received a response. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I would like to know if it is possible to change the location for one of the cases so that my parents can travel together. I have not paid the fees or filled out the DS-260 form yet.

Is there any reason why your parents are not on the same one petition?  They can take awhile to answer your email.  You can try using this link to see if it helps.

They are both on one petition. I don't know why they assigned them to two different locations. Thank you, I'll check that link

They cannot be on one I-130.  Each parent needs their own I-130.

Exactly one per parent

I filled one separate form for each of my parents and have two case numbers but they are assigned to two different locations. That is my problem

You would need to contact the Consulate you do not want to move it to the other one if NVC do not aggregate them.

I have contacted NVC via their portal and formally requested the embassy change and they changed it. In case someone has the same problem,  just make sure to send your request to NVC. Thank you all for responding.

Hi Goldenaida,

I wanted to know if your problem was solved. I have the same problem and NVC doesn't answer my question. Could you please let me know if you know what I should do?

Thanks!
