Looking at your timeline, you filed under marriage rule 3 years minus 90 days, correct?  You'll have to meet the 3 years to be interviewed AND it's going to depend on how your local USCIS office has been handling cases.

I had my biometrics very early after filing (same rule), but didn't get my interview until I met the 3 year requirement.

I am aware of that. It's not how long it took between biometrics and the interview itself I'm looking for, it's how long it may take to get the appointment notice for the interview. I need to make plans and it's hard to do without knowing the date of the interview!

How long did you guys need to wait after biometrics before you got the appointment notice for the interview?

Yesterday was my biometrics appointment. I'm now eagerly awaiting the scheduling of the interview. How many days did you have to wait between the biometrics appointment and the scheduling of the interview?

It depends on the backlog at the USCIS field office.  My husband waited 9 months from biometrics until the naturalization interview, Atlanta.

As the others have stated, everything will depend on your local office, and once you get the notice it varies how far out the interview is scheduled. For example, most recent cases discussed on VJ for the Seattle office have received notices with the interview scheduled roughly 6 weeks out, but there have also been cases of people getting as little as 3 weeks advance warning.

My advice would be to not make any plans that keeps you away for any extended periods while waiting for the interview unless it's for a family emergency, it's just not worth the added complexity of rescheduling with unknown delays. At the very least, ensure you can be back in the US at two week's notice if needed, that should be a pretty safe option.

As a concrete case, we did biometrics 04/13, interview notice was given May 24 (PDF only, still haven't received the mail) for 07/13.

We are filing under the 5 year rule so the earliest interview date would have been 06/20
