Would You Have Moved There?

I did move there...and came back when we decided to file K-1 instead of K-3. We plan on moving back eventually.

I still have a year of college left so any possible move for me would have had to have been put off till summer 2007 and frankly, we've been together since July 2000 and we are darn ready to get married! I did think about it and would be willing to but my mom and family would definitely be very unhappy! Although, my moms dream her entire life (before I met James) has been to go to England so me being there would make it a little easier Besides, James really wanted to live in the USA, he says he doesn't like England very much. We'll see how things go though, I would of course consider if it need be.

In a heartbeat!!! Unfortunately, I can't make the kind of salary there that I do here in the U.S. When it's time to retire, we will move there, and by that time, will already have land, house, and vehicles purchased.

I answered yes for my fiance, our original plan and mutual decision was for him to move here actually...only when we realized how complicated things would get becuase of the custody over his son, did we decide that it simplifies things if I just move to US instead

Charles wouldn't move here because we'd be broke financially, so best option was for me to move there.

Maybe in the future, after i retire, when we're really old i can convince him to come live in Brazil, so we can live in a beach, like Florianópolis, and do nothing all day long except walk on the beach, go fishing, have a beer together and enjoy each other's company.

I am the USC, but grew up in the UK......I would absolutly go to the Netherlands! I would be packed and my bum would be on that flight so fast.....

However, I cannot because my ex has joint custody ( visitation and access and such) and we have to respect that ( if only for my son's sake)

I would have preferred to move there but it just wasn't the smartest option at this time in our lives. Hopefully after we are able to get a good amount in our savings and a college degree we will be moving back. The job market is VERY bad there so I would want to make sure that my education could carry me to a good job.

Oh yes - we will move back to England as soon as I graduate. The only reason I can't go there right now is because my parents won't let me at this time, and because I have to finish my Bachelor's. But as soon as I graduate, we'll both be off!!

I would love to live in Germany but..

- he has been unhappy there

- financially and opportunistically (is that a word?), we're better off here

- my ex would never agree to my having full custody... the battle would devastate the kids. Not worth it given the above two points...

We have talked about moving to England (he's British and has family there) once the kids are grown, but it's too early to make a decision about that now.
