How to bring Grandma to America

Me (US Citizen) and my mom (on process on getting a greencard-likely within 6 months) and my mom will move to the US then.

How do I bring my grandmother to America to live with us? My grandmother only have me & my mom as family. Is there any exception? She is too old to fly 20+ hours every 6 months on tourist visa and investor visa might take too long (last i heard it is 5+ years)

What should I do?

1/12/2019: 90- ROC filing window open
1/17/2019: Mail I-751 Package via USPS Certified Mail
1/22/2019: Package arrived
1/28/2019: Receive case number via text message  #WACxxxxxxxxxx
2/21/2019: Call USCIS for non-delivery notice receipt
2/29/2019: Receive 18-month extension letter (2 pages)
4/30/2019: Biometric Appt
...waiting...

Unfortunately your Mom can't sponsor her Mom until she's a citizen. Until then maybe she can be the one to fly back and forth to visit?

Yeah - the grandma is old and hard to find someone to take care of her and it is sad to put her in senior living. It is a tricky family situation, feeling like we are abandoning her by herself.

Really tough and definitely a huge downside of moving to another country. If she does have the funds for EB-5, it might be worth looking at that? I've no idea if it would take 5 years though, but worth investigating just in case.

Good luck.

You are.

If she can afford an Investment Visa can she not stay in her home and employ home help?

Family situation is complex and it is hard to explain it online ...

Well it would be 7 or so years before Granny can come after her daughter gets here
