I lived in the US between 2018 and 2020. Do I need to obtain police certificate for the embassy interview?

My embassy says this:
"Important: You do not need to present police certificates from the United States."

I think it's the same for everyone. I assume US embassy has access to your US history so they would know anyway.

NOA1:
Feb 22nd, 2022 | NOA2: May 12th, 2023 (444 days) | NVC Received: July 3rd, 2023 (52 days) | Case number: Aug 2nd, 2023 (82 days) | In Transit: Aug 15th, 2023 (95 days)  | Ready: Aug 17th, 2023 | Medical: Sep 22nd, 2023 | Interview: Sep 26th, 2023

Thanks @Bh_sarah I remember reading this somewhere but my embassy doesnt mention it specifically. I might try to contact them about it, to be on the safe side.

@Bh_sarah I am almost done filling out the DS 160.  Should I wait for the embassy to contact me or go ahead and send it?

You can do it. Saw so many people that didn't even had a case number yet already submitting it...

Hi everyone, our case was shipped a few days ago, on the 18th, does anyone know how long it takes to get to the embassy? It's says 'in transit' currently.

Do they schedule the medical exam and the interview soon after or is there another processing time frame?

It all depends on your embassy. I'd say most people get to ready status in 1-2 days, but I guess some embassies may take longer to get it?
The interview and medical procedure also depends on your embassy.

@Bh_sarah I just finished my DS160.  May I now register to pay the fee and schedule an interview?  Or do I need to wait for the package now?  Thanks for the help!

I am unsure of Argentinian processes. Didn't they send you anything yet? They do have the same system to schedule interviews/pay fees like Brazil does: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ar/iv

@Bh_sarah They sent the email with the info, but the information isn't too specific.  I think I should go ahead and pay since my status shows as ready.

If it's like Brazil, you create an account, link your DS-160 and schedule the interview/pay the fees there.

We were notified last week that our visa was at embassy. But fiancé can’t fill out his ds160 with only our case number. It’s also asking for an invoice number which neither one of us has, does anyone know how to get the invoice number so he can proceed with the form and be contacted by the embassy?

Congrats! You're in the home stretch. Your notice didn't contain any of that info? You may be able to submit a public inquiry with the NVC for that info. They have been responding to inquiries within a few days. Or perhaps trying to contact the embassy.
