I would like to ask for some advice for my father's case which is currently at NVC. I filed 2 petitions, one for mom and one for my father. Both were approved by USCIS. A few days ago I completed DS-260 for both of my parents, uploaded civil documents,  filed I-864 and all supporting documents and after that filed two expedited request based on humanitarian reasons and attached mom's and dad's passports proving that they are Ukrainian nationals. My mom was approved but for my father I received the following message:

Unfortunately, the National Visa Center (NVC) does not have a procedure in place allowing the expeditious processing and review of the documents submitted to us.

We review documents in the order of which they are received.

If you want to request that we expedite this case, please provide us with more information. Please send your request with the supporting documentation (such as medical records, a letter from a medical doctor, or deployment orders) to NVCexpedite@state.gov.

Enter the case number in the subject line of the email. Within the email itself, please include all of the following:

The reason for the request

The petitioner's name and date of birth

The beneficiary's name and date of birth

The beneficiary's two local contact phone numbers.

Does it mean that i can send another expedite request? What additional inofrmation would you suggest to provide? This is war and everyone knows how brutal it is. what sort of proof might work?

Thank you!

Where are they now?

Why did you not apply for U4U?

If they are in Ukraine, then depending on his age your father is not allowed to leave.

United for Ukraine much, mich faster for getting them to the US.  It is difficult to get an expedite for humanitarian reasons for any visa due to that program being in place.

My father is allowed to leave based on his age. I am asking for help for a family-based visa and I will appreciate some useful ideas how to help to expedite the case at NVC.

Thank you!

As stated, U4U was set up to handle expedited entry to the US for humanitarian reasons.   Because that program is in place, it will be difficult to get expedited visa interviews.

If they are in Ukraine, they cannot interview there so the point is moot.

If they are in Europe or elsewhere, they are safe and therefore do not need an expedite.

If they need to evacuate to the EU or elsewhere and housing/funds/etc are not available or low, the U4U program is the fastest method for them to get to the US.

It doesn't hurt to request the expedite again- the worst is NVC will decline it again.
