If it's about current political climate - everything is temporary. However, naturalizing in the US is a life long commitment.

meant to reply to that one when first posted. I personally want to be done with USCIS forever!

Copied the dates below out of my timeline. I knew mine took awhile but forgot about it being 2 years. Filing the N400 was the only reason it got dislodged. Unless you really don't want to become a US citizen I would file the N400 just to get it moving again.

Granted mine was still in the paper filing era (not sure if the ROC is digital now or not), but you still have a paper file and those go missing on occasion or papers go awol, or papers never make it into the file (I'm looking at you K-1 entry envelope).

Not really an update, but, today my case status went from "Case is being Actively Reviewed by USCIS" to "Case Is Still Being Processed By USCIS"

Not sure what or why the difference in phrasing

I too noticed the exact same thing and refuse to take stock in it.

19 July - Case Approved!

23 July - Card being produced!

Good luck to all waiting still!

Congratulations!!!

I only just realised that you’ve been waiting for years not like me, barely months!!

Will you be filing for citizenship later or content with 10 year?

Hey, did you have your interview?

Yes. It was successful. But there was a moment of panic when the officer asked why there was no evidence to support the validity of our relationship from the last 2.5 years for the I-751.... That's how long ago we submitted the application. The officer asked us to upload photos from our phone to our USCIC account and that was enough to move forward.

That is exactly what our officer wanted to see.  He wanted proof of marital union from the day we submitted the I-751 until date of interview...

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
