Advance Parole Status

Hi all,

For those who've had their EAD approved, but not AP, what's the status showing? When my husband took his biometric, the form only listed I-485 (GC) and I-765 (EAD), but not I-131 (AP). Was this a mistake on their part and did anyone's AP status update after biometric?

Thanks in advance!

Biometrics are not part of the AP process and thus it will not update after the biometrics appointment.

Thank you. I did a live chat with an agent and she said I couldn't expedite until biometrics were done, so that confused me even more.

You can only attempt to expedite AP for the death of a parent, sibling or child of the applicant.

Is that the case?

Nope. I was just trying to check case status since the first agent I spoke to weeks ago said our case was ready for adjucation and would have a decision soon. The agent was the one who brought up expedite and that it can only be considered after biometric. Confused me since I biometric isn't taken for AP like powerpuff mentioned.

I765 and I131 USED TO always come as a Combo Card (if you did not mess with the application and try to expedite either of them).

Biometrics are needed for the I765 which came as a Combo Card so yes, you need biometrics for I765. I131 was automatically adjudicated together if you applied for it together. So yes, because you applied for both you need biometrics to get I765 to get I131.

There is no biometrics NOTICE for I131 but it's included because it's a COMBO.

I131 by itself is not a Card.

It's a paper notice with no photo or finger print.

It's normal for the biometrics notice to not list the advance parole petition, there's nothing to worry about. Even after my husband did biometrics the status for the advance parole didn't change even when it was approved. He recieved the combo EAD card.
