I have SSDI, but I still file taxes. I get 25k from the govt. and have an inherited IRA account containing 50k, and my saving account has 70k. Do I need a co-sponsor? This is my most concerning thing moving forward.

You shouldn't need a joint sponsor. Is it just you and your wife so household of two  you are above the guidelines.

No. Now is the time to become an A Student of both the I-864 and it's instructions.  Download BOTH and do your homework.

another question about the I-864, I was told by my tax accountant I needed to file taxes as "single" because my wife doesn't have a Social Security number yet. True?

I was NEVER an A student, I had a stroke before, and have a hard time understanding things, I also use "Grammarly" to help me form sentences correctly. That's why I am on this website asking for help!  I find your responses very bothersome. *ignored*

If you cannot become an A-Student of instructions, you are likely to have some big issues with this process, and would be wise to hire professional help, in my opinion. Without an understanding of the instructions and the process as a whole, you will not KNOW what you DON'T KNOW, so you will not know what to questions to ask.
