I-134a Income Contribution to the Beneficiary Annually

I'm filling out 134a's for 2 people, both distant cousins from Cuba.

 

How much do we need to put in the Income Contribution to the Beneficiary for the form to be approved?

 

Is it 100% of the FPG, 125% of the FPG, or some other arbitrary dollar amount?

 

We have enough income to put whatever we need to put, but on the off chance that this form could be found enforceable by some court in the next 2 years, I'd rather not declare more than is absolutely necessary.

Can you file for Cousins?  This is only for immediate family members.

you don't get to choose your income

if u are a sponsor and need to file the form,  u have to report the income u reported on tax returns

130 is for immediate family.  134a is for literally anybody you're willing to sponsor, its the form for the 30,000 paroles per month thing.

That is what my folks did...sort of. They are self employed so they put the amount of income on their most recent available tax transcript + amount of available assets. They are sponsoring a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) from Nicaragua. Form was filed Feb 2, will see how long it takes to get a response if they are approved as sponsors or not

it will be the gross amount that is on the IRS transcripts which can also include any 1099,  1099R with your W2 

u do have to send the IRS statements along with the I 134 to both for you to be a joint sponsor

They are asking how much you earn not how much you want to be responsible for.
