Steps to the I-130 Process post submission

Hi All,

 

Just for the sake of educating ourselves, what is the roadmap for the processing of an I-130, I can't seem to find a stright answer.

 

What i mean is, we have submitted, our application and received the first I-797C notifying us that Nebraska has our case.

 

What comes next? Then after that? Then after that?

Wait for active reviewing, after that wait for approval notice, after that case moved to NVC notification, after that wait documentary qualified, after that wait for interview notification.

Wait active reviewing notification, after that approval notice, after that case moved to NVC notice, after that documentary qualified notice, after that wait for interview letter final stage

also note you will likely be waiting about an year between the "active reviewing" and getting the approval (or rfe).   And the case only goes to NVC if you properly selected filed in the "The beneficiary will not apply for adjustment of status in the United States, but he or she will apply for an immigrant visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate in" section (and did not fill in the "The beneficiary is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office in:" section).
