Well I hate to have to come here and say this, but after 8 months of marriage my wife and I are going to get divorced. Were going to do it here in Mexico then I'm going to take off once its finalized. Her I-130 is still in process. If it gets approved during the divorce process and I ignore the RFE's I assume nothing will move forward correct? If we don't go to the interview, if I dont sign the Affidavit of Support, if we don't go to medical I assume nothing will move forward? Therefore I don't have much to worry about in that regard? Should I write to USCIS requesting a withdrawal or something even though were not divorced yet? She has not been handling this process at all so she wouldn't be able to try to move anything forward anyway. Any advice is appreciated. Best

I'm just curious if the Spousal Visa involves the I-864 or not. If it does, I work as an IT contractor. I do pretty good but my jobs are sometimes 3 months, and sometimes 3 years. I usually intentionally take a month off in between jobs. If USCIS asks for the I-864 during one of my off periods, will that be an issue?

Ooooh ok I think I get it and see my confusion. For example, if her name was Jenny Johnson before marriage and she didn't change her name in marriage, then our marriage changed her name from Jenny Johnson to Jenny Johnson? Thus the Marriage Certificate is needed to show she changed her last name from Unmarried Johnson to Married Johnson, even though its the same name.

Thanks but I'm a little confused. Our Marriage Certificate shows her last name unchanged. If we leave it this way, then nothing goes into the Proof of legal name change correct?

Hello, So my wife and I live together in Mexico City, but I am not on the lease yet here as we just got married. I am basically coming for long visits until my Mexican TR Visa is printed and I can actually start putting my name on things here with her. My "Current Address" is with my Aunt in Michigan, this is the address tied to my employer, taxes, and on my Drivers License. I also have a rented mailbox in Houston, TX that I use rarely but can forward things from it to here. Out of the three addresses: Aunts Address - Tax Address Houston, TX - Rented Mailbox Wifes Apartment in Mexico City that I'm physically living at What address should be the latest in my Address History and what address should be my Mailing Address? Hello In the section where you need to upload Proof of legal name change, my wife did not change her last name, we will do this much later after we are back in the States. Should I upload a one line message saying she didn't change her name? Should I re-upload the marriage certificate even though it's already uploaded to the Proof of Marriage section? Should I leave it empty? best

Alright, I dumbed it down to a 7 page slide 2 photos each and only the receipts that actually show her name, passport stamps, and proof of her as my beneficiary on my life insurance.

Hello, Quick question. For the I-130A that my beneficiary fills out. Part 5 and Part 6. She filled the form out herself. No preparer or interpreter used. Can we leave Part 5 and 6 blank? Or is Part 5 blank and she is Part 6?

This includes three major events with a photo and a snip of the associated Facebook status change for: Asking her to be my Girlfriend The Engagement Marriage This above Story in Photos PDF includes all vacations, day trips, and most everything we have photos of together, including things after marriage and not just before, along with a short caption on each including: Date Location Description Reference to Receipt Explanation PDF* I have 36 attachments of: Her work Visa and the associated passport stamp she was on when we met All flights for both of us to and from the US and Mexico and their associated passport stamps Hotel Receipts Campground Receipts Car Rental Receipts The SENASICA import paper for our dog that also shows our Mexico address Event Receipts and Tickets Snips of my Company's Benefits Portal showing her as a Beneficiary on my: Basic Life Insurance Basic AD&D The receipt for her Engagement Ring Other applicable items A document titled: Receipts Explained All of the 36 Attachments are numbered in Chronological Order and the Receipts Explained Document tells what they were for exactly. The Story in Pictures PDF has a notation relating each of the 36 Attachments to their related photo. Thanks all, the reason we don't do the I-130 is because: 1. She is here on a tourist visa and we did not intend to marry during this trip 2. We want to live in Mexico anyway for awhile 3. We're nowhere near ready for a wedding
