Careful, will have to see what rest of week is like. They've hit 300 on a single day a few times. They do seem to be very slowly improving week on week though

What criteria do they use to determine if someone belong to the 80%? Or is it just random luck?

Agreed!! But I noticed from December 2021 filers, they waited up to February 2023, then they started touching their group. thats 14 months wait. 
March filers, they started on march this year.

I think there's been some indication that this may be the case, but it probably needs to be documented better to verify

I noticed this in February but because I keep a spreadsheet with ranges so it's easy to see it. I wish I had to see those from other months so we can notice a pattern, but I remember seeing this in December too from @mw & rg k1's custom script. Seems those on the last weeks of the month have a higher probability of waiting more time.

It's just a higher probability, doesn't mean you can't get an approval when they are actively working on a month or that if you file early you won't be left behind. It also depends on the number of cases in each range, I'm comparing it in percentages though.

Okay yes, this is what I thought and was alluding to! We have a "working theory" that early month NOA1 dates have a higher probability of getting NOA2 before late month NOA1 dates. This isn't set in stone, but a pattern we have seen a few times.

Yep, nothing ever is set on stone with USCIS it seems! haha I feel it's even more random on NVC phase when it comes to USCIS sending the case to them. I wish I had not filed late in the month so I had a lower probability of being left behind, but then again I see people from the early weeks still waiting and I could've been one of them. It's a matter of luck. And I never won anything at all even in simple giveaways, so being left behind checks out in my case 😂

Ahh I stand corrected 😅. It has always seemed to me that this process has been a “luck of the draw” type of deal, but when I have gone back to look, it does seem that those who filed earlier in the month versus later did get an approval sooner. It makes sense considering they start a month and move forward at 50% done. It’s like a never ending game of “Chance”. 🥴🥴

Well 1 April here and still waiting while 8 and 11 April are being approved ... so not so sure ...
