485 approved...time to greencard reciept?

My i485 got approved 12/23. How long does it take to receive the actual card? USCIS still just says ' approved'.

 

My existing work visa expires 01/02 but I can't return to work until I have the card in hand for I9 purposes, which is super frustrating.

 

Anyone any idea how long this will take? Work seem to think it takes a week but I'm skeptical!

Probably 7-10 business days. A week was normal a few years ago, but I think it's a bit slower now due to both USCIS and the USPS.

 

 

Removing Conditions Timeline

Aug. 10, '17: Mailed in I-751

Aug. 21, '17: NOA1

October 23, '18: NOA2- approval

October 30, 18: 10-year GC received
