Hi everyone,

I forgot to include an employer in my n400 application. Will that be a problem?

You can correct it at the interview. I doubt it will  trigger an rfe

If you filed online, add this as unsolicited evidence.

Regardless bring this up at the interview

Only if you were employed in something illegal.

Fix it at the interview.

I have no idea how things work so just asking out of curiosity, How would they know that you missed to provide this info unless we tell them?

There are several publicly accessible databases that have your work history. The Work Number for example.

The government already  has the answers to most of the questions the  N-400 form asks.  N-400 is mostly a test of your character.  There is no point in trying to hide anything.

Secondarily the N-400 process is an opportunity to have you attest to material false statements.  These can be used against you in the future if the government wants to get rid of you through denaturalization.

Don't  know for sure .. but they know all sorts of things already..  .. and my concern would be that i signed my application as true and correct and i know its not. That will be an issue far greater than accidentally omitting something …

@Mike E Good to know. Yes, I agree there is no point in hiding.
