  1. Hello All, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but just trying my shot here. I'm trying to renounce my Indian citizenship as India doesn't allow Dual citizenship, during the application process I came across a this requirement AFFIDAVIT OF NATURALISATION AFTER THE EXPIRY OF INDIAN PASSPORT – ORIGINAL & NOTARIZED If the applicant was naturalized after the date of expiry of the latest held Indian passport. A notarized affidavit may be submitted explaining the background and the reason for this gap. My Indian passport expired in January of this year and I didn't realize that, do you have a template/letter/affadavit I can refer to and use it? I tried to look for it online but didn't find any. Thanks in advance.
  2. Did you go to interview with an attorney? How important is to take an attorney with us to the interview?
  3. @Mike E any idea if email thread/communication works? I have an email thread with the criminal court asking about any records and they mentioned they don't have any info on my name in email.
  4. Hello All, I got two traffic tickets at the same time in 2015 in Louisiana, one of the two tickets got dismissed, and other ticket is non-moving violation for around $130 and I paid off the ticket in the court using cash. Now, the issue is I have no evidence to prove this, I reached out to Criminal and Traffic courts but they can't find anything on my name, I reached out to DMV they have no records on my name. What am I supposed to do here? Thanks in Advance.
  5. Thanks @OldUser and other guys, who are always helping others with your experience and knowledge.
  6. Hello All, I applied N400 in July 2022 and still waiting for an interview. I'm seeing people filed in March/April this year have interviews scheduled already and I'm here still waiting. I know every case is different but with the current speed cases are handled and with my Field Office, Providence with 9.5 months, I'm concerned there is something wrong with my case. A friend of me suggested to file FOIA or to contact Congressman for help, how effective are these? FYI, I have I-751 pending from July 2021 but I have seen thousands of applicants, filed after me with pending 751 got approved and already citizens. Thanks in Advance.
  7. @Mike E I uploaded my Conditional GC which is obviously expired but I did not upload the 797/extension letter. If I upload anything now, any idea if it causes more delay in the process?
  8. Hello All, Thanks for your time for reading and answer this question. I came across many applicants whose I-751 got transferred to their local FO after filing N400, I have few questions regarding this: 1. Is it mandatory to add/upload ROC related documents or a letter asking USCIS to adjudicate both the cases? 2. Is there anyone here whose 751 got transferred to their Local FO without asking them to adjudicate or without adding any ROC related docs? 3. Doesn't USCIS know about our pending cases? TIA.
  9. I'm sorry your wife's case it taking long. I wish they process everyone's case faster and at least provide some details about the cases, no insight of what is happening or where the case is! What is your FieldOffice?
  10. @Letspaintcookiesthanks again much for answering. I was worried as I thought I made it worse unknowingly.
  11. Thanks for answering my question. Yes, my case is still under processing time. Any idea who we will be talking to when we connect through EMMA and say infopass (I mean rank/category of agent)? I just had a chat with an agent, after providing all the info about my case agent said my case is still under normal processing time then I said "Many people who filed months after me are already citizens but I'm still waiting" then she ENDED the chat. I don't know if she is pissed off, can they delay it more because of this?

  14. Hello All, I would like to know the status of my case(I know I can see that in case status page, which has been showing as REVIEWING for more than 6 months). I tried like to ASK EMMA and typed "info pass", it showed me this "Please select the link below to schedule or manage an InfoPass appointment with a USCIS Immigration Officer.". My question is, if I schedule an appointment, would that effect my case anyway? Without going through EMMA, if I call USCIS and say "INFOPASS" and ask about my case status, would that have negative effect on my case? Thanks in Advance for your responses.
  15. Filed on July 20 2022 with pending 751, still waiting for interview in RhodeIsland. I see many people who applied months after me are already naturalized, I'm still here waiting for an interview. Feeling very sad.
  16. Hello All, Thanks to all who are here in answering the questions. Back in 2015 when I was in college in Louisiana, a cop pulled me over because ONE of my car's headlight is out, he asked me if I lived in the same address as on my Drivers License, I said no (I was very new to US and didn't know that I'm supposed to change the address on DL). He gave me 2 tickets One for not changing the address and other for one of my headlight, a total of $300 approx for both tickets (Long time ago I don't remember exactly but it is less than $300). I went to the court and the person in the court understood that the cop should have let me go with a warning but gave me 2 tickets, so, he CANCELED the Headlights ticket saying that it counts as MOVING violation and asked me to just pay for the ticket for not changing the address in DL(NON-MOVING VIOLATION). Now my question is : 1. I already filed my N-400 online and in the citation section I answered NO for any citations, as one of my ticket is canceled and other is non moving violation. Do I have to mention about this to IO? 2. This was back in 2015, I have no paperwork/info regarding the tickets and I don't live in the state where I got this tickets. How can I get any info that this ticket is paid off? Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.
  17. Hello All, I applied my N400 online in July 2022 with pending 751 and been waiting for interview since then, I've seen many people who applied after me became citizens or got interviews long ago. I know scheduling of the interview depends on Field Office workload, mine is Rhode Island and I seen here in VJ timelines that people got scheduled for interview in 3-4 months in my FO but I'm still waiting from almost 6 months. My Questions: 1. Does uploading more documents trigger or will it delay more (I did not upload documents of my 751 and a letter to request to adjudicate both the cases)? 2. When you add your case here, does it update your case automatically when there is an event like interview scheduled/oath/biometric or you have to update it manually? Thanks in Advance for your time for answering this question and also helping all others.
