Thailand travel with expired Greencard and I-797 extension letter

Has anybody had issue traveling to and from Thailand while their I-751 is being processed.  The green card expired 2022, but the I-797 extended it until 2024.  Any issues with exiting Thailand or boarding?  How was customs like back?

I haven't had the chance to visit Thailand, unfortunately. But I did use my extension letter with expired gc to travel to and from Argentina, and had no issues whatsoever.

Same here, no experience with traveling to Thailand with my expired green card and extension letter, but I have traveled internationally multiple times with my passport, expired green card and extension letter. No issues at all!

When leaving your destination and returning back to the USA, did you have to show immigration or the airline the greencard/extension letter as well, or just to the customs/immigration back in the USA?

Both.

We did. GC expired Sept 2022 and we've travelled with extension letter (ang expired GC). 

No problems in Bangkok at the check in for our return flight and no problem at the airport in US on our arrival.

Yes, we went and didn't have any issues coming back.  Customs cleared her through quickly after we showed them the extension letter and expired green card.  The layover were in Narita, Japan and Seattle.
