Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marrianne Williamson are both running. RFK Jr actually has some decent polling in the last few weeks in the 21% range, which is pretty good against a sitting president in his own party. About a third of states have open primaries, meaning anyone can vote in the Democratic or Republican party regardless of their registration. If old Joe keeps screwing things up and some republican voters cross over and vote for RFK Jr over old Joe in the primary it could get interesting.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
