I'm also trying to get info on this:

The news claimed recently that Biden was reopening the embassy in Havana to process tourist visas for Cubans to enter the USA legally, yet I can not get any response from the embassy in Havana, nor can my Cuban friend who wants to come for a visit.  Does anyone know if it's at all possible for cubans to get a tourist visa to the USA in October 2022?  Or if the embassy is ever really going to reopen to process those?  If he were to go to Guyana can he get a travel visa there?

Thanks

A cording to the website they are currently only processing limited immigrant visas and emergency non immigrant visas. Cubans can go to any other country where an embassy has Interview capacity for a tourist visa.

Does anyone know of any US embassy where it's not a 60-90 day wait to apply for a Cuban to have a tourist visa?  It's so ridiculous, the wait times are insane, in Guyana over 80 days, Barbuda is over 60..  ?  Just to fly over for a business trip, it's not realistic for us to have to wait that long for an interview.  Any help is appreciated

Unfortunately most of the embassies are dealing with massive backlogs from covid, all interview categories have a wait and B visas are lowest priority vs immigrant, student and work visas.  60-90 days is actually not that bad at all compared to some that have over a years wait.

60-90 is not bad. Try 749 days for Lagos, 380 for Santo Domingo, etc.

You can try to expedite it, may or may not work, depends if they’ll accept your reasons.
