I doubt it's fake news.  When your restaurant is very popular, more people show up to order, meaning longer wait times.

I will say that Chik-Fil-A is about the only FFR I have ever seen that puts people outside to take orders in addition to the drive-up speaker.    Business must be REAL good!

I really don't eat much fast food.  But CFA has never let me down.

I do love a McDo pair of breakfast burritos on a long road trip (maybe 3 times a year?).  Other than that, never stop in.

Haven't eaten at a BK in about 11 years, and that was just an experiment to see if things had improved after avoiding them for nine years initially.  Nope!

Wendy's isn't bad, but the last time I was in one was three years ago, ordering a meal for my home-bound neighbor.  Don't think I've partaken personally in more than 10 years.

I guess my most-visited FF resto is probably Taco Bell.  My partner won't touch it.  But a crunchwrap supreme or ultimate burrito really goes a long way.

I also haven't had cable TV in over 17 years.  I'm probably not the norm here.

McDo

Steepest price-increases anywhere, and most obvious shrinkage in portion sizes.  Won't go except as a last resort.

Wonderful, with use of coupons in newspaper inserts.

Best traditional fries, but too few coupon inserts.  Southwestern Avocado salad is superb (ask for pomegranate dressing packets).

Taco Bell

Have gone perhaps twice in 10+ years, both times this year, but enjoyed it.  Much improvement in service since I'd written them off for being clueless.

Arby's:  Delectable curly fries.  Best coupon deals, esp. for 2 people.

KFC:  Overpriced; never consistent in size of chicken sandwiches.

Good Chinese buffets (where one can stuff oneself until one is about to be sick) and authentic Mexican restaurants with big portions are probably better deals than fast food, at least around here.

Cable TV:  Have Roku TV, but not much idea of how to manipulate its bells & whistles.

Yeah, I enjoy Arby's.  Again, don't go often, but have never been disappointed, ever.

KFC is ok.  Used to work there.  Quality is consistent because corporate sends the same things to ALL restos.  Ditto Domino's.

I would LOVE to eat some local TX Mexican food.  Best I have had anywhere, hands down, is on the streets of Mexico City.  Street tacos are to die for.

My all-time favorite food is Thai.  Home made or restaurant (usually), it is amazing.  And some Pho soup, too.

Man claims to have eaten $28 of Taco Bell for lunch and the responses are hilarious

Fox Business contributor, Scott Martin, claimed to have eaten $28 of Taco Bell for his lunch, allowing Twitter to do what it does best: make jokes.

Host Neil Cavuto seemed perplexed that Martin could have spent $28 for just himself.  Others expressed similar doubts.  [...]

You right. I found another article that says the article based on total time not time per car, and CF actually had the shortest time per car.

Typical Media junk.

Taco Bell has a new double steak grilled cheese burrito that is off the chain good.

Best breakfast sandwich in America is the bacon egg and cheese croissant at steak and shake. We get a sackful every Saturday at work.

Street burritos in Juarez were really good.

Had a really bad experience with BK a while back and avoid them with a passion.  Overall, avoid fast-food except in an emergency.

I'll have to try both of those.  I usually avoid steak stuff at Taco Bell because it is typically a cheap and tough cut of meat, and over-cooked, but if you swear by it, I'll take the risk.
