Expedites are usually given for the USC having medical illnesses or other urgent matters, sadly not as much for foreign national beneficiary. You're free to try, but chances don't look great unfortunately.

You can't just create a medical reason to expedite, but yes, the health expedite is generally granted only for the health of the USC petitioner.

How old is your GF?  Ovarian malignancy is rare in young women.  My bet would be on something benign, like a cyst.

Seconding this, just to reassure OP that this may not be nearly as serious as it sounds. I had two ovarian tumors removed over a decade ago, and it was very scary when doctors started throwing around the word "tumor". But my tumors were completely benign, and were surgically removed without any issue or complication. The terms "cyst" and "tumor" are sometimes used synonymously.

Honestly, sometimes I can get kind of jealous on here about people wanting to expedite their case ahead of mine but I really hope you manage to get yours! I'll be praying for you! ❤️
