Hi

I was documentarily qualified by the NVC for IR1 Visa application on 4th Aug 2022, sponsored by my wife (US citizen). I got the email that they will work with the Islamabad-Pakistan embassy to schedule my interview. Just wanted to ask how much I have to wait till they give me an appointment? Or is there any online portal or webpage through which I can check the status of how long its gonna take?

Check your local Islamabad forum here. I think it's taking almost a year after DQ for interview.

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

15 months from DQ is the wait right now.

actially time has increased to 17 months or more. For the wait time of interview you will be waiting a while. My wife document has been approved since December 22 2021 we also have a thread for Islamabad interview you can find information on.

i was also dq on august 2022 my lawyer said that everyone in july has an appointment in december people in august will either be in january or February depending on your situation.
