It has been about a year since I had checked the Visa Bulletin. I checked today and the priority date is exactly the same as when I looked last September. Anyone heard the story on this?

There hasn’t been movement in some categories for many months, F3 is one of those for sure. i suspect it is because the embassies are still dealing with long backlogs from the covid shutdowns, and some embassies still seem to be operating below normal capacity judging by some of the visa issuance statistics.

Both F3 and F4 for all countries except Mexico are indeed the same in the latest bulletin as they were September 2021.

I am not sure I would consider that a slowdown.... Sounds more like the diversity visa problem. Just simply not doing them.

Ok, let me explain this a different way. They are doing them, but the backlogs that built up from the covid shutdowns means they are still working their way through the queues of people who got current and DQ’d a year or maybe more back. (Some embassy closures over the past couple of years haven’t helped either.) And some embassies for whatever reason still seem to be experiencing capacity constraints. So at this stage there is no point moving the current dates on the visa bulletin because all that will do is put more people in a queue who can’t be processed yet.

I am sure the data is out there, but the visa bulleting has always swung widely around.

 

Nothing you can do about it.
