Hey everyone,

My name is David and my fiancee, Analyn, is currently in the stages of getting a K-1. About us, we first started talking to each other through friends back in October of 03. Being in the military and a very low rank at that made it impossible to see her =( . We became boyfriend and girlfriend in December of 03. We talked over the phone for 3 years until I got out of the service in October of 06. I went to see her for the first time after I got out of service. We got engaged and had a wonderful time in the Philippines for 2 months. After returning to the U.S. I started working and began the processing for the I-129F. As of now we are just awaiting her interview. I filled out the timeline for my signature so I hope this helps. I also noticed in the forums about the case status ME - Military Expedite, is this referring to those who are still in the military but need expedited case because of deployment? Also is there anyone else out there who's military or prior who have gone through this whole process? Is it any easier to get an approval? Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks,

David

Well I'm no longer active duty military, although I still have 3 1/2 years of inactive duty. So long as they don't recall me I'll be fine. I'de rather not get called back and have to return to Iraq and leave my fiancee behind :( . I can't imagine how stressful it would be. When I went the first time it was hard enough to leave behind my family. Having not met in person yet the first time I deployed wasn't as stessful for us, but to be living together and having our own family and have to leave... On a positive note I'll be there for her interview so hopefully that will help us get the approval. :D
