Hello miracle workers!

Can someone please confirm that the  forms below are what I need to fill out for my parents who are currently in the US on a tourist visa and I want to proceed with AOS due to the situation in Ukraine ( they live in Romania by the Ukraine border). I am a US citizen.  I am also looking for information  or tips on getting  medical insurance ( they are over 70 ). The AOS will be filled in Seattle, any idea of timelines for processing in WA state? Thanks a million!

ACA marketplace is your only option for insurance .. unless Washington state has expanded medicare and will cover LPR. I doubt that ACA is available without LPR status so it may be a lengthy wait. Short term health insurance  will not cover routine health care , medicines or any pre existing conditions. With ACA be prepared for very high sticker shock .. like monthly premiums of thousands.

search the vj threads for other questions like yours. There are quite a few

Thank you!!! If my income alone is enough, do I need to include my husband in the form if we file taxes jointly?

No. If your income is enough, then you do not need to include your husband. However, Because you file jointly and you’re not using his income, you need to include your W2s and 1099s.

More on this is on page 8 of the instructions:

If you provide a photocopy of your Federal individual income tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income”

No. It was basically obsoleted in March 2021.

Processing time in Seattle is a couple of years.
