Good afternoon

I am inquiring about the RT-PCR test that is required before departure to the Philippines. We live in Cincinnati and her flight to the Philippines is leaving from LAX at 1030pm local time. My question is we are having difficulty with how to get this done within the 48 hours of departure and get the results back in time to be posted. Does anyone have any suggestions?  We would greatly appreciate it.

If your having issues finding a testing site for a RT-PCR test, you can get the rapid test within 24 hours.  That started on the 10th of March.

f. Present a negative RT-PCR test taken within forty-eight (48) hours or a negative laboratory based Antigen Test taken within twenty-four (24) hours, prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin/first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding lay-overs; provided, that, he/she has not left the airport premises or has not been admitted into another country during such lay-over;

@Talako 's suggestion is correct.

I also entered the PH recently with an antigen test result done within 24 hours before my flight.

Just make sure that you do NOT do the at-home DIY rapid test. Many airports now have testing clinics that will issue you antigen test results with more "official" looking paperwork that will clearly state your test result and that you are medically cleared for travel. I had my test results and documents in 15 minutes for $65.

My test results were checked three times: once at domestic flight check-in, again at international flight check-in, and again upon arrival in Manila. Even though I booked all my flights on a single ticket. Each time, they looked carefully at the date, time, and details of the clinic that issued the result.

Thank you all for the responses... Does this apply to all Airlines, such as Philippine Airlines. I am sorry to ask so many questions

It applies to all airlines, as it is driven from the IATF who sets the rules.  The link in the earlier post above shows the resolution.

This link shows the PAL rules which are the same:    https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/covid-19/arrivingintheph

My wife did the RT-PCR test on Friday and flew Sunday. The time started with her first flight under one ticket...STL to LAX. She had no problems at all. She flew on PAL. We were luck in our city there is a place that does RT-PCR test with results in an hour or two. If you are really pressed I would do the antigen test as advised above.
