online filing US CITIZENSHIP/N-400

Hi All,

 

As I mentioned to my previous posts, I filed online last January 30, 2022 and the updated me that they received my documents and also the payment

 

The last time they stated in my online account that it estimated until time of decision is 7 months

 

Today when I opened my USCIS ACCOUNT it said Approximately 8 months until the decision made

 

Is anybody have similar problem like this? or might they found something not right or it just normal like this?

 

I have read some people file last September and in December they got approved, its very confusing tho.

processing times change frequently

check your N 400 office on following site about once a week to see any changes

It’s normal. Mine was changed and increased twice. I had 6 months left from the last update before case status changed 4 days ago to interview scheduled.

Anyone knows if I need to go with my wife to the interview (n-400) since she won’t make it due to being busy at work till next month ending. Do they really need her presence at the interview?

You've kinda hi-jacked someone else's post.

 

Unless things have changed since my own interview, spouses were not needed. Re-reading my interview notice, it specifically said only an attorney or authorized representative would be allowed to the interview. Your letter should state something similar or does it specifically read to bring your spouse.

There doesn't some to be any rhyme or reason to it. At least not in my case. Upon submitting mine the estimated time was 14 mos which went down to 7 mos a day after. Then after receiving an interview notice it was 9 mos. I became a naturalized citizen in less than 3 most.

I haven’t gotten the letter yet. On uscis website, it shows error when I try to view the letter uploaded on my documents. It could be due to maintenance on uscis website at the moment. Hopefully the letter comes tomorrow and thanks I will go alone expect if the letter specifically asked to bring my spouse.

I submitted my N-400 online last Sept 29 based off on the 3 Year rule (entered the US Oct 2017 via K1).

 

Sept 29, 2021 - Filed Online, Receipt Notice, Biometrics Reuse. 

Nov 8, 2021 - Interview Scheduled

Dec 14, 2021 - Interview and Oath taking (received my Naturalization certificate the same day)
