You don't actually need your NOA1 by July 30th. The USCIS says that as long as your application is postmarked prior to July 30 you don't pay the new fee. Check this out:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/Fe...ate_07Jun29.pdf

I'm banking on this fact since we're just waiting on one little document that we should have tomorrow and will be posting it all on Saturday.

Maybe I am mistaken, but does this mean if we got our package in before the 30th, that none of the new fees will affect us? IE, the later documents would be at the old fee?

Or is it just that we will only pay 170 instead of 455 for the I-129F?

I was under the impression that I only got out of one high fee, but...now with a comment like the ones seen above, it makes me think otherwise?

Am I just reading too much into it and wanting it to be true?

As long as your I129F is postmarked before July 30, you will pay the $170. For AOS and beyond you will pay the new fees.

The website gives us something to do together and it makes us feel like we are actually doing something productive! A long time ago we found a website by a couple that was really inspiring and it has since semi-disappeared. We felt that by making our own website, maybe it can be a source of comfort and inspiration for others as well :) It's not so pretty at the moment but it'll get there ;) Oh - and there are huge chunks missing too!!!

Does anyone else have a story they would care to share about how they met? as KGSodie said - mine can be found at http://www.jeraly.com/story :)

Look forward to reading other inspirational stories!!

Oh - and anyone else here send off their I-129 etc around 19th July? Ours was sent to the CSC so hoping it won't get held up...

What a lovely website. Not sure if we'll get round to doing one of our own.

We aim to, hopefully, send everything in early this week.

Thank you! It still needs some work - I am hoping to make some logos and things so each page has a proper title but luckily my OH is the techno-geek that puts most of it together - I am learning and can do bits but!!

Good luck getting everything in! I'm so glad I found this site and this thread - it means we can all take the journey together and share the highs and lows! It's nice to know that there are other people out there going through the same thing as you :) I'm the sort of person who needs that kind of reassurance and I hate to look at the average processing times because they scare me!! We're cutting things really fine!

We July filers are still at the start of our visa journey, shared together in these electronic pages, and I know we all wish one another a speedy processing. I am sure that I, like many of you, and seen some of the recent reports of 'quick' processing timelines and secretly hope that our own visas process just as quickly.

My own site is linked from my profile, and is at Kevin and Natasha.
