Haha! Sounds very very cool but a nightmare at the same time!! I must admit I tend to be more conventional - I prefer to try natural remedies first but will resort to painkillers if need be. So Dr Debz - what is your diagnosis?!

here's the deal. i had killing migranes since my childhood, and not even the strongest pain-killers would help. it was so bad that i couldn't see through my right eye and couldn't move my right arm.

the cure: relaxiation-gymnastics like yoga or easy pilates-exercises EVERY night right before you go to bed, for 10 minutes. plus: cardio-workouts like running or cycling or walking , 30mins / 2 times a week. there are scientific studies proofing that the combination of yoga and cardio-workouts prevents up to 70% of all migranes.

if a migrane-attac strikes: 2 cups of coffee + chocolate+1 liter of cold water + peppermint-oil on your forehead. if possible 600mg of straight aspirin. lie down in a cold, dark room, no clothes, just a blanket. after 2h you should be fine.

chocolate and coffee are known for helping against migranes, most migrane-medication has caffein in it.

hope this helps, it saved my life at least ;)

Actually what you have is not really a "migrane" you have cluster headaches (behind the right eye, and very debilitating) so that's probably why the caffeine works for you. A "classic" migrane is one where you feel the pain "evenly" on both sides of your head, in that case caffeine is not really efficient because the caffeine can cause rebound headaches, in that case you don't use painkillers (tylenol, motrin, or even oxycodone) because that doesn't target the sourse. When it comes to migranes you usually use triptans, or better known as imitrex and all the meds that derive from it.

But i also notice that you do yoga and pilates and all that healthy stuff which is awesome and waaaaaaaaaaay better than taking drugs. Just because I'm in pharmacy doesn't mean I think that drugs are the cure for everything LoL. It just a hudge coincidence that you guys are talking about migranes, My therpy test had migrane stuff on it......ha! i can't believe i still remember ;)

Anywho if you guys have any other questios about any other disease states and their drugs, drop me a message ;)

good luck everyone....

PHEW!!!!! ok that's all the updates done. If I missed any, sorry let me know. It still shows days since filing...changing formula is tomorrows job

Please don't change the formula. It is perfect the way it is. Days since filing is how the timelines should be sorted. USCIS processes petitions in the order they are received, not in the NOA1 notice date sequence. The received date on the NOA1 is normally only a few days after the date the petition was sent and therefor the sent date is a very good indicator of the sequence in which petitions should begin being adjudicated. The NOA1 notice date on the other hand can be delayed by months.

The NOA1 date as it is currently being entered on VJ is meaningless in my opinion. Even VJ advises not to use NOA1 date when guaging progress or comparing with other timelines. See VJ posts here and here.

Until such time as VJ decides to utilize the received date as the NOA1 date on the timelines I suggest that we continue to sort the July timelines by sent date and also calculate the elapsed time based on sent time also. To use any other date will distort the data.

Fair point well made - I'm happy with that :D

Debz - do you have any way of recording on the spreadsheet who we are waiting to hear back from or have we heard from everyone already?

As for the diet thing - I just wish I could motivate myself to exercise but I just can't - I wish I was one of those people who found it relaxing/stress relieving/exhilarating... but I just can't! I have never enjoyed physical exercise since school but I wish I could do something! Owel... my OH loves me as I am anyway - it's only for me that I would lose weight ;)

As for migraine - bought some random mint head stuff today and it is really helping :D

Re: facebook - if anyone is as obsessed as me and wants to look me up then be my guest :D

Well i have found a way to make the waiting bearable and to actually root for it. I told my fiance if she gets her interview in Jan or Feb  then she has to go to the interview without me and then wait for the visa and fly to me in vegas. which was our original plan.

But if her interview is in march or april then i will fly there and attend it with her and then bring her back with me. I can fit that into our budget with wedding and all if its not first of the year. She is now hoping its in march or april lol so i will be there with her.

Its win win for me. i either get her here early or i go there and get her. assuming of course we are approved and not put in any AR at the interview. but lets not put that damper on my parade lol.

Good plan!! Might have to speak to Jeremy about the same thing - would definitely be nice to have the moral support as I am going to be cacking myself at the interview!!!

Yay for Chris's idea!!!

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
