This is the reason I didn't want to send a check. I wanted to see them charge the credit card so I know it's being processed immediately.

I am sure your check will cash soon.

Well, I have my bank notifications set up to go off for any charge greater than $200, so... It's just that I had a bad experience with my AOS. In Spanish we have a saying "El que se quema con leche, ve una vaca y llora" meaning "If you burn with milk, you cry even when you see a cow from afar", meaning once you have a bad experience, you get anxious with anything remotely close.

Check is really no different than a CC  in terms of the processing. You still get immediate notification your check has been cashed or a hold attached. I always use a check when dealing with USCIS.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

The check or the CC is not the problem as Uncle Sam WILL get his money always does! It's the receipt notices and NOAs we care the most about!

After waiting 526 days from them receiving our I-130 to the interview day, no amount of wait time can phase me anymore 🤣

I had a huge wait with many snag ups during my K1 so I feel ya, you just have to let it roll off your back!

Yeah actually I think the only issue is the money orders... those are hard to track!
