Yes, it's  painless and quick! If you live far from the center then the driving/travel would be the hardest part.

Luckily I'm only 20 mins away

We mailed our packet on Friday and it was delivered yesterday. We redid the packet and kept the one we had in the binder as our copy. It's nowhere near as thick as some of the packets I've seen on here so a little bit nervous. But we sent all we've got.

That's  all you can do is send what you have. You are not required to send the kitchen sink!

Question:  Long story short, I feel like in our case, sending bank statements could hurt us because we have never sent them.  At this point, if we send between the interview and now, it won’t do justice to our case because my husband lost his job and there were some health developments with my dad that we decided that he would stay home with him in the last year until further notice.  So, you can’t see two incomes coming in and, because we live with our parents as we take care of them, bills being paid from the account are nonexistent.  At any rate, we have always sent proof that we do have accounts and credit cards together.  We also have proof of medical insurance together as well as him being beneficiary on my life insurance and 401K.  Also, for this one, we would have a new car together with the insurance, a new account with another bank, and some potential proof of having investments accounts together that are new.  Additionally, we are also planning on getting wills.  Do you think it would be best to continue the packet as we have done? Without bank statements, only proof that the accounts exist in our names.

We also have always done and sent our taxes.

Up to and including the AOS phase you have not been required to send bank statements! During the AOS not many couples have as much documentation as they are newly married. USCIS understands that fact. However during the ROC phase couples have lived together for 2+ years so USCIS will expect much more documentation. As I said before you can only send in what you have. If the bank accounts show each of your names by all means send them in. A simple explanation like you provided here is all you need. Any shortcomings that you think you may have in your ROC packet it's best to be proactive and explain it. USCIS appreciates that and it will save you usually from a RFE. Life happens, life is not a perfect world neither is immigration's...so explain your perceived shortcomings, address your letter to the AO that's all you need to do besides not worrying or stressing out.

If your spouse does not work you would not have a co-mingling of incomes would you? Some couples are only a one income household nothing wrong with that, just explain it simple as that. Cover all your weak areas with a logical explanation (true explanation not sugar coated.) The fact you live with your parents and have no utility bills etc, is not a big deal you simply explain it to USCIS that you chose that arrangement to care for your sick parents easy pee-say!!!!

When does your window open? If I remember correctly you got about a couple of months before it opens right? Don't sweat it you got plenty of time, but the fact that you are on it now is a good thing so RELAX YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!

Two things are very important: sending documents that cover the whole duration of the marriage and including a letter explaining why some common evidence they might expect to see is lacking.

We couldn't send anything for the whole duration of the marriage as we weren't living together for 2 years of it. So they only got the past 22 months since his move to the USA. I honestly didn't know what else to give them.

I think you'll be fine. And if they need more, they'll issue an RFE which is not a source of concern.

If USCIS keeps with the trend I would say in the next few days surely no later than the middle of next week.
