Did she have a schengen visa to be able to get into Poland?

Pretty sure she had to, I don't know of any other way a Russian citizen can get into Poland unless they had a dual citizenship with a country that had visa free access there.

Today I emailed Poland requesting a case transfer. So now we wait for the reply. We will figure out the problem with getting a schengen visa as we go.

I wrote to US embassies in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands to request case transfer from Russia. I was refused by Czech Republic and Estonia, and got no answer at all from Latvia, Lithuania, and Netherlands. Fortunately, Poland did accept and we are now waiting for our interview appointment being scheduled.

I had my senator email 5 embassies after I did the same over 2 months ago. The aid who handles the case got a imitate response from one and ask we send over info and did that last week. Weeks passes by and the embassy wants use to do it again. Heard from another any they told us no but try again in 2 months when they clear the backlog. The other 2 weeks and nothing. Heard back from the NVC after we sent a expedite request 2 months ago and just yesterday they requested approval from Moscow 24 hours later not approved. I was expecting that.

The thing that really making it ridicules is we immigrating our step son who is a minor. Even if we did get approved for Poland we have 2 options my wife has to spend a bunch more money and leave work for another extended period to fly from the US to Russia and get him to the interview. The other option is his grandmother takes him but the will be hectic.

Either way a lot of traveling  and getting more visa for 2 people where if it was a near by country that work well with Russia be super easy.

Turns out I might have emailed the wrong address because I got a reply saying I need to contact the embassy directly. I emailed

 support-Poland@ustraveldocs.com

Which email should I contact to request a case transfer?

I emailed to:

support@ustraveldocs.com

support-poland@ustraveldocs.com

immigrantvisawarsaw@state.gov

I only got a reply on the first address (support@ustraveldocs.com) and they let me transfer my case from Moscow to Warsaw.

I never got a reply on the two other email addresses.

If you transfer your case to Poland I would suggest your wife to handle everything. Don’t leave it up to grandmother. With all covid testing requirements and restrictions it’s not easy to get to Poland from Russia nowadays.

We just need to have her travel with him as he is a minor. You know has no money, never traveled alone, can not get a hotel, and all the unsafe things he does not know about.

Currently my wife is in Russia till the end of the month changing her document and get medical procedures done. She was to due this last year but we waited because we don't have the money to be traveling around and was planning on doing when her son has his interview. Well never happened and she had to get it done ASAP. She has to be in Russia for 1.5 month and be out of work for 1.5 months. We simply do not have the money to fly there back fourth over this BS.

My wife has to get back to work or loose her job and what ever saving we have left.

At this point unless a interview was scheduled in the next 10 days the only way he his getting to any interview is with the aid of his grandmother.

If you are a Russian Immigrant Visa applicant with questions about transferring your case to Warsaw, please email support-poland@ustraveldocs.com

this was in the reply they sent me… but after emailing support-poland@ustraveldocs.com I was told I needed to contact the country to which I want to transfer my case directly. So I also tried support@ustraveldocs.com and I’m waiting on a reply from them.

The fact that support-poland is responding is a good thing that you can try to leverage. I would write back and gently indicate that you are writing to "support-poland" because you want to transfer your case to Poland, and make sure to include your case number, full name, date of birth, passport number of the beneficiary immigrant. Just politely and succinctly repeat the transfer request to support-poland again.

That's great news, well done. Interesting that it seems to be random which email address works.

Next step should be that you get an email from NVC saying that you have a new Case Number starting with WRW (instead of MOS). If you don't get it after a week you can call NVC ask them about it.

With that you should be able to log into the CEAC again and you then have to download and print a new copy of your DS-260 Application Confirmation which will now have the new WRW number on it. (It's a bit hard to find, you have to go through all the DS-260 application pages in CEAC to the end and then there is a confirmation page with a print option). You need to bring this DS-260 Application Confirmation page with the WRW number to the interview.
