Is anyone else concerned that when Biden mandates full vaccination for travel to US only US-approved vaccines will count and the most common vaccine given in the Philippines (Sinovac) won't be accepted?

If you want to travel to the Schengen or EU area and not have to quarantine or do testing, they are also not accepting Sinovac etc etc. Only Pfizer, moderna, AZ, and J&J.  However the Schengen area is also accepting positive antibody tests as well.  I think you are going to see this in more and more parts of the world eventually.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

I just can't wait to see the legal challenges to all of these mandates requiring people to get experimental vaccines.

You have much more faith in the system than I do.  The President does have control over who can come into the country, it's unlikely there will be any sort of legal challenge.

My wife got a shot US donated J&J there Sunday.  There is 3 million doses delivered by the US a couple weeks ago floating around the Philippines right now.  Since one shot J&J counts a fully vaccinated she went to Bureau of Quarantine and got a fancy WHO "Yellow Card" that has a QR code that authenticates online.  Given that it's the Philippines, that strikes me as a pretty good solution to to the proof of vaccination issue.  I'm sure it would be widely accepted.  Schengen countries already REQUIRE proof of vaccination for Filipinos traveling on tourist visas.  Unvaccinated Americans can get in Schengen countries by test or quarantine too but Filipinos cannot.  Saudi Arabia and Morocco just started requiring proof of vaccination too and other countries are soon to follow.  like it or not, requirements for proof of vaccination are inevitable in allot of countries going forward.  if it creates political cover for getting things back to normal then I'm just fine with it.

Although I have personally lost all faith in the WHO,  I suspect the trend for what vaccines would be accepted for travel would be to accept "WHO approved" vaccines.  Which includes Sinovax.

My wife and the others there were quite happy when they found out they WERE NOT getting Sinovax.  In the Philippines they wont tell them what vax a site has until they have already been lined up half the day.  The chance of getting Sinovax pretty much everyone's greatest concern.

My girlfriend already got Sinovax.  Which if the South American studies are trustworthy (what is these days?) seems to be a perfectly viable vaccine with fewer side effects and using conventional vaccine technology.  It's going to be more than a little demoralizing if our K-1 gets approved and then she gets turned away at the airport for having the wrong vaccine while the southern border is still being flooded by endless torrents of covid positive illegal migrants who are being bussed and flown all around the country.

I wish he would start with the southern border.

I think that in general, Filipinos don't trust vaccines, and they definitely don't trust China at all.  So "Chinese Vaccine" has got to be like the ultimate mistrusted product in the Philippines.  Notable in the region though, Indonesia was having so many hospitalizations and deaths among thier Sinovac vaccinated health care workers they dedicated thier limited supply of Moderna as boosters for Sinovac vaccinated health care workers.  Thailand did likewise with Pfizer boosters for Sinovac vaccinated health care workers.  Malaysia has stopped using Sinovac due to concerns about it's lack of effectiveness.

US to reopen land borders in November for fully vaccinated (apnews.com)

"According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. will accept travelers who have been fully vaccinated with any of the vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization, not just those in use in the U.S. That means that the AstraZeneca vaccine, widely used in Canada, will be accepted."

So it looks like accepted vaccines for travel into the US are: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Janssen, Sinopharm-BBIBP, CoronaVac,

Non-accepted are: Sputnik V, Sputnik LightCovaxin, Convidecia, Sinopharm-WIBP, Abdala, EpiVacCorona, Zifivax, Soberana 02, QazCovid-in, CoviVac, Minhai, COVIran Barekat, FAKHRAVAC, Medigen, ZyCoV-D, COVAX-19
