Has anyone filed for a K-3 Visa after filing their CR1/IR1

I have read that after you file you C-130 for the CR1/IR1, you can file for a K-3 Non-Immigrant Spouse visa to shorten the time for them to come here.  Has anyone here done that or has anyone else heard of doing that.  For me it doesn't matter as my wife and daughter's interviews are on the 5th.  But if this is a method to get a spouse here sooner we should all do it.  If you have done it or know someone who has I would love to hear from you.

Thanks,

Dave

Given that a whopping 5 k3 visas were issued in the past year and that USCIS has been administratively closing I-129f when I-130 filed, that route is highly unlikely even though still on the books.

They generally convert K3 to CR1, so my advice if you’ve already filed a CR1, fill out the paperwork, throw it away and send me 50% of the fee you’d have paid.  You’ll have the same outcome and will have saved money.

I have and it didnt help at all! Im still waiting for an interview after 14 months DQ. There isnt an fee attached to apply for K3. Just application.

"It" is a petition, not an "application".  It might help.  It won't hurt.  Understand there will be no K3 visa, but the "filing" MAY get the I-130 pulled from the queue, and approved early.  I can express no opinion on the chances except greater that zero.
