Hello!! Any fellow November 2020 filers here? I haven't seen an actual thread for us guys. My husband is a US citizen and I am from the UK.

PD November 10th 2020

Texas Service Center (letter receipt)

Haven't heard a peep since NOA1. The frustration of waiting is unreal! I've been seeing many 2021 cases being approved at Nebraska, within 2 months of waiting. Did they forget about us in 2020?!

I feel your frustration. … No one truly knows how cases are distributed amongst the service centers. Are cases assigned randomly? Does Nebraska get the easier cases? Are they more efficient? How complex was your submission compared to others? Just too many unknowns.

On average across all centers, it's now taking about 9 months give or take 3 months to get approval. Mine took 7 months.  For me, I used the wait time to understand the NVC stage and did a first pass on the DS-260 and I-864. Then I went about my business. Yeah I know, it's easy  to say it takes a lot of patience, but there isn't much else you can do but wait "patiently".

The wait is really frustrating I agree. Ours took 6 months to get approved at Nebraska center, and some were getting approved faster, while others waited for way longer...you can still gather the documents you will need at the NVC stage while waiting for your approval, so you can upload everything quickly on CEAC later.

This is refreshing to see I'm not the only one in the approval waiting room but also frustrated that we're still in the waiting room!! Hoping we hear something soon.

  • 1 month later...

USCIS processing times for the Texas Service Center are now on September 1 cases, so hoping in the next 2 months there will be some approvals soon for November candidates! We are 8 months in waiting now...

You've got about a month/month and a half left; I've seen some very early oct. approvals lately!

I'd love to hear input thoughts..

Texas Service Center
We filed Nov. 1st 2020, got NOA1 the same day.. then nothing
the 'case outside of normal processing time' date came, I filed a request, got he standard reply that 'we need more time and I'll hear within 60 days'
those 60 have passed and still nothing.
did the form again, march 4th 2022, and no response to that either.

Should i take some other action, and if so , what?

thanks for your input and encouragement,

Richard
