  1. @TBoneTX such a relief. It was a huge anxiety for us. We just picked up our passport and visa
  2. Thank you all for your help and insight. Interview went well and CO was very understanding. She waived the police report for Ukraine and stated, "due to the ongoing war, we the US embassy will request the Police report on your behalf". Visa issued!!!
  3. We have also tried the consulate (outside of our country no consulate inside of country) and were told we may or may not get the certificate back in 2 months
  4. @SteveInBostonI130 thank you for the detailed information. We do not have the app or are we in Ukraine. My husband studied in Ukraine many years ago for medical school in which he was in Ukraine for 5 years. When we were looking back on the DS260 we realized we selected no to the question, have you live anywhere outside your home country for more than 6 months. The answer should have been, yes! So during the NVC stage the certificate was not asked. If they ask at the interview or the question comes up, we want to be honest. The certificate has been impossible to obtain so far. Not sure if the ongoing war will serve as a pass for the CO requesting us to obtain
  5. @AlenaT our interview is in Ghana, we are searching for a police report in Ukraine
  6. @Dashinka thank you so much for your response and sharing the forum to all my question. Will see what comes back for that area
  7. I'm in need of a police report/certificate for my husband before his US immigrant visa interview next week. He studied in Ukraine for over 5 years and we're aware a police report/certificate is needed for any place the applicant has lived more that 6 months. We've been trying to obtain the certificate since our interview date was scheduled 6 weeks ago, to no avail. We've tried internal ministry of affairs and were told to go online which we did, no response. We've also tried the online issuers/court record obtainers, which we paid money to, and they keep giving us the run around. Could the delay and access to receive the report be due to the ongoing war? We want to make sure we have everything required of us for the interview. Could this be an issue for us to get approved by the CO?
  8. Our interview is scheduled for next week and I'm concerned about one of my husband's police reports that we have not been able to obtain. He has been able to get his police report from his home country, but he also lived in Ukraine for over 5 years for schooling. As soon as we received our interview letter (6 weeks ago) we started working on trying to get the police report from Ukraine and it has been the hardest ordeal yet (not sure of its because of the ongoing war) we've paid money to try and obtain it, but nothing. It's frustrating!! We are aware that a police report needs to be issued from each country the applicant has lived in for more than 6 months. Will this be an issue at my husband's interview if he does not have his police report from Ukraine?
  9. @Crazy Cat thank you for your response. So just to be clear, on the I-864 form part 6 where it states sponsors employment and income, "my current anual income" I will put income from 2022? or will I put what I am earning now in 2023? Separately, I noticed for 2022 taxes I W2 was not added making my income short by a little over $60K. I am working on getting the taxes amended, however our interview is in 2 weeks. I know we will not get an updated transcript back before the interview. What do we do in this case? Take along the missed w2, tax transcript for 2022, current employment letter, 6 months pay stubs, assests we have in savings?
  10. The 1st I-864 form we filed during the NVC process will need to be updated as my employment/job has changed. As my income is now different to the 1st affidavit of support, will I put my current income amount for 2023 (I have been working at my current job for 6 months now) or do I have to put income from the 2022 tax year? If yes, I will need a joint sponsor. If no, and I will put my new income, should I also add proof of employment, pay stubs, letter of employment to prove ability to support my spouse? Will the CO only look at ability to support applicant based on 2022 tax transcript or will they acknowledge my current income?
