I agree! When I sent out the packet I had just returned from Brazil. My hubby had signed the G-325A there and we didn't realize it was expired. So...I had to mail it to him, have him sign it, then mail it back to me.

That way it took another 2 weeks to mail out the package.

Good luck.

OMG!!! I was just going to mail out my I-129F which was prepared while I was in Jordan(signed April 2007. We are working with an agency there. I just looked at it..Form reads: Top- OMB No. 1615-0001 Expires 12/31/06 Bottom- Form I-129F (Rev. 05/23/06) N

What am I going to do now? I've been waiting so long for NOA1 (I-130) and was going to submit it with other evidence of filing I-130.. Will they really kick this back to me and cause more delays.. Why did the lawyer give us (and other clients) this form?? She got it from online.

Why speculate and take a chance if it does get sent back? If you have not received the NOA1 for the I-130 and have yet to send in your I-129F petition, you can get the latest version of the I-129F completed and signed and get it signed by your spouse and have it ready.

He is in Jordan..agency working with us is in Jordan.. I'm in USA. This will take time (probably setting up appt with lawyer..husband missing work.. then sending it to me.. I was really really wanting to get this out..I've been waiting for almost 2 months now since I-130 was sent.. and with ongoing probs with USCIS/CSC sending out receipts (one reason for non-receipt of NOA1)... this making my brain cramp again

I know this process is rough... keeps loved ones apart for great lengths of time. In the end its really up to you, you can go with the current forms you have and hope that it goes through fine or go through the hassle and get the latest version of the forms and send them in.

If it goes through... well and good

If not then there will be additional time in them notifying you, you and husband going through the hassle anyways of getting the latest version filled up and sending them back to USCIS.

You can always call USCIS and see if they will accept the older version of the forms.

Good luck

Time for your common sense to kick in. Only one signature, that of the USC, is needed on the I-129F form. You have one already filled out. Just download the current form, put the same information on it, print it, sign it and send it in place of the one you have. You prepared the form, so just leave the preparer information blank or write none.

Alhumdulilah!!!!!!! Ok.. its done.. I mailed out my I-129F this morn and updated my timeline.. that felt great!!! Trying not to worry... I really really don't want to do ANYTHING that would cause more delays.. CSC is bringing enough delays without me. Thank You VJers for all your posts (questions, announcements.. updates, etc) Its helping me so much. Gosh!!! I wish we didnt go thru an agency. Spent extra money and I'm the one updating them with things that they didnt hear about(increase in fees, direct filing, updated version of I-129F). Whats up with dat? Oh well.. lets hope they really will help my husband in preparing and being successful with the rest of the steps in Jordan. Inshallah!!! :P

I actually did send in one that had expired. After noticing I called the USCIS and they told me if they cashed the check then they accepted it. I truly hope this person knew what they were talking about this doesn't come back to bite me.
