The historic winter storms have delayed a lot of mail and packages.  I wouldn't worry about it yet.

I sent the I-485 on 21 Dec.

The latest tracking shows it still  "In transit, arriving late." As of 29 Dec.

However,  the lockbox received it 22 Dec.

I know, it is just that I paid for the express mail to arrive earlier.

now I have an added up concern, my I-693 Report of Medical Examination cost over 600 usd and was sealed by the doctor and attached on my packets so I don't have any copy. Plus my I-94 is until march 3rd.

Hey there. I am going through the same exact thing right now so just know that you aren't alone. Please see my thread!

We sent out our package on the 11th with Priority shipping, got the update that it is "in transit, running late" on the 15th with no word since.

However,  the lockbox received it 22 Dec.

I'm glad that there is some happy news on this thread. Our situation is the same. "in transit, arriving late". But it doesn't help that we forgot to include the Enotification on our form and it's taking them a long time scan stuff in. The only thing traceable that we have is our uncashed check. I have yet to hear back from USPS's customer service line from leaving a message.

I'm so surprised at how incompetant USPS's tracking has become.

The thing I think you should be worried more about is the medical. If they don't receive it within 60 days from the medical you may be out 600 dollars. Hopefully USCIS honors it even if they receive it much later than that since you have a post mark on the package. I highly doubt that it's lost. So many people are in the same boat right now immigration and otherwise. I have a coworker that has gotten christmas cards post dated 17 DEC and barely got them in their mailboxes LAST WEEK.

Also don't fret too much with I-94.. If the sponsoring spouse is a US Citizen then the overstay is automatically forgiven assuming the green card is approved.

I'm betting that a lot of people are in the same boat right now but think of it this way; you did your part. You submitted it before the I-94 expired so the post date will reflect that.

I might have an answer for this. I also sent my AOS package with Priority Mail 2 days on January 30th with expected delivery on Feb  2nd. On the 3rd it said it was out for delivery and on Feb 4th it says it was awaiting delivery scan, with no updates since then. I sent an inquiry through their website, and a couple days later I got an email from a USPS  representative apologizing and then saying this:

Our records show the Priority Mail Item #xxxxxxxxxxxxxx  was last scanned Arrival at Unit (60680) February 2, 2020.

We contacted the delivery unit and was informed the item was picked up. Immigration has a courier/messenger service that comes to our facility to pick up there mail and deliver to them. Mail is picked up Sunday evening and twice a day Monday-Friday. There is no delivery scan because the firm sheet the item was listed on was not scanned for the close of the business day. If the firm sheet is not scanned none of the item listed on it will show a delivery. Also, it could take up to 15-30 days for USCIS to send a notification of receipt.

So I guess I wont ever get that USPS confirmation and I just have to wait for the direct confirmaton of USCIS, which according to what I've been reading, its taking longer than the usual 2 weeks it used to be, since its been 3 weeks and still nothing from USCIS.
