Bringing my husbands son here to visit from the Dominican

My husband and I have been married now almost two years in May and was wondering if we can bring his son here from the Dominican to visit, before we file the removal of conditions petition. What petition would we need to file to have his son visit us for a few weeks?

For a visit? Just a B2 tourist visa. But is the local embassy accepting tourist visa application?

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

I do not believe any are currently.

The confusion I think he and I are having is we had already provided them with his sons birth certificate during the fiancé visa interview and other required documents needed. Is there another petition that we need to file other than a tourist visa? As we want him to be able to visit every few months.

You don’t file any petition for him to come visit you. He applies  for visit visa himself and goes to the interview.  Outcome of visa is based on his strong ties to DR and interview  among other factors.

There is no petition for tourist visas.  The son would apply for a B2, and interview once the consulate has resumed tourist visa interviews.

Not sure why you are confused:  having provided required documents for your husband's IV has nothing to do with his son applying for a tourist visa.  He applies, and his application is adjudicated based on ties to DR.
