Absolutely horrible. Our worst nightmare. They told him no, and to fill out an i601 due to apparent fraud (which he didn’t commit fraud - our lawyer told us this repeatedly). He just got some #######.

Sorry to hear about it :S that's really sad. Hopefully it gets better for you both.

So from the looks of spreadsheet, the only remaining ones left in March are 2 interviews, not sure if that's all they are scheduling for March or there are more out there who aren't on forums

Wondering the same. I know they are also scheduling K1s as well as CR1/IR1s..waiting to hear from those DQd in October that the embassy has taken their cases from the NVC

Omg that's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that!! If you don't mind me asking - did the officer give any reason to why he/she thought it was marriage fraud?(feel free to ignore)

I'm quite worried personally as I was denied entry to the states before and feel like they will hold this against me at the interview.

They didn’t think it was marriage fraud. We wasn’t let into the states previously due to not be able to show immigrant intent (it was a few weeks after coming to previously see my daughter and I) & then this officer in Dublin turned it around and called it fraud (even though, it was far from that)

They wanted him to show immigrant intent when he was only intending to visit u?

Sorry, no. I meant that he wasn’t able to prove he wasn’t coming for immigrant intent

Its just sad, how was his overall experience in terms of duration of the interview and chat with the consulate officer in detail etc any idea?

Hey folks,

No problem with K1 visas, but does anyone know why they are apparently being prioritized over IR1/CR1? Has anyone heard anything regarding interview dates yet?

I’ve been wondering the same and my frustration is growing with it. I keep seeing k1 interviews scheduled with one or two cr1/ir1 mixed in the middle. I was under the impression we were a priority. I’d like to ask the embassy but they’re not very helpful. K1s are currently not able to enter the US so I don’t see the point of giving them an interview when spouses can enter right away. We’re under so much stress and still waiting on an interview only to see k1s constantly getting approved yet they can’t go

What I'm waiting for is to see if anyone at the NVC gets an interview scheduled--seems like all of the ones that have been scheduled were already at the Embassy before the lockdown. Am I wrong in this observation?

Does anybody know whats the turn around time for Embassy to respond to emails?

I think if anyone will know, it's @Thewander, but I have a feeling that the answer is "it varies"

Patience......patience.

For the cr1/IR1, all new interviews scheduled were all at the embassy and had been scheduled then cancelled due to the lockdown then rescheduled for March and April. For k1s, they seem to be getting interviews extremely quickly and within a short period of time. Everyone I know who’s case was at the Nvc when they closed up again in December is still sitting at the Nvc. It’s really unfortunate & enraging.

Thanks both, that seems to be the exact case.

If you see the contact page on NVC, it says "NVC cannot predict when Consular Sections will resume routine services, or when your case will be scheduled for an interview." , when you contact the embassy in Dublin, they say, they can't help until NVC forwards them the case.

So I suppose there's just no help altogether. Wait and watch situation.
