Have all your documents been accepted on crack?
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-05 said:
I meant on ceac
Thewander on 2020-10-05 said:
NVC requested more tax documents and I accidentally put my mom under myself instead of my step dad. So I had to go in and fix all of that and resubmitted it all last Friday. I really hope they get to it soon and not put us at the back of the line. What about your case?
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-05 said:
We got an email Friday that the status had been updated. All documents were accepted, but they requested proof of domicile. I was just wondering if there was any clarity on how long the wait is for an interview

How long did it take for them to accept the proof of domicile? I’m wondering how long it’ll take for them to accept our documents and interview wait times. I saw one person said she was scheduled an interview in Dublin just a month after Nvc acceptance.
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-05 said:
They haven't accepted proof of domicile yet, just everything else. I'll keep you updated when that's accepted
Thewander on 2020-10-05 said:
Great, thank you! Another person on here had to resubmit a few things and he said it took them 12 days to accept it. Fingers crossed ours both go that quickly! I’ll keep you updated too
Thewander on 2020-10-06 said:
Did you get a response? We got a response just a bit ago stating the w2s and proof of filing taxes isn’t accepted and we have to have a tax transcript which is not good news.
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-06 said:
Haven't heard back yet. I'm so sorry. This process is something else, not for the faint hearted. Let me know how you get on with that though. I got the below message from someone else in Dublin and thought it might be helpful for you just to have an idea of how long it's taking for an interview after you're DQ I have been DQ since June 30th. (IR/CR-1 Visa) I found three other profiles that are similar to us (Interview in Dublin) https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=349772 https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=368975 https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=336633 First one DQ 2020-06-01 - they have their interview 2020-10-16 Second one DQ 2020-06-03 - they have their interview 2020-10-23 Third one DQ 2020-06-14 - interview 2020-10-27

No it is not, I’m so frustrated. I thought DQed had to do with your documents being accepted by the Nvc but now I’m confused. So it looks like it’s taking 4 months to get an interview? I had seen somewhere you can request to go in a list if an appointment is cancelled or if an extra interview slot opens up. I’m hoping there is! Thanks for the support!
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-07 said:
Let me know if you here more about being put on the list to get a cancelled appointment. We heard back today. Proof of domicile was rejected. I'm currently living in Dublin so maybe that's why. Just re-uploaded correct documents so maybe hear back on Monday?
Thewander on 2020-10-07 said:
I’ve never heard of that type of rejection. It’s like we’re in a bad luck section or something. I’m reading numerous people saying they just wrote a letter stating they couldn’t get a tax transcript and got approved. We’ve tried twice and have been denied twice. What documents are you sending in to prove domicile? I saw someone got approved today and received an interview in Dublin for November 13.
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-08 said:
It's so frustrating. I submitted my most recent bank statement from America, my visa for Ireland, and proof of expiry of visa. I needed to prove that I am only in Ireland temporarily and plan on returning to the US. Once we get the DQ email, we're going to contact the Senator's office to try and expedite. Some people have had luck that way if they don't have a medical emergency.
Thewander on 2020-10-08 said:
When are you needing your interview by? I contacted my senators office but was told they can’t help unless our case is outside normal processing times and they don’t help with expedites. We were also told to be patient. Easy to say when you’re not in the situation yourself! I was very disappointed.
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-08 said:
Well obviously we just want the interview as soon as possible. We had to leave our lives behind in US to live here. My husband's student visa expired so he came back here and I followed shortly after to wait with him while we went through this process. I know I'm free to return any time, but obviously I'm not going to leave my husband with no idea of when I'll see him again. That actually pisses me off they told you to be patient. Our mental health has been severely affected by this. All of our friends and most of our family is in the US, so there's nothing here for us.

Looks like the three of us are in similar boats. I got DQ'd yesterday, am living in Ireland with my spouse (Intending Immigrant). Hope we all get to move forward soon, I've read that basically all of December is slow due to the holidays so I'm a little anxious about having to be here even longer. Sending good vibes your respective ways.
Thewander on 2020-10-17 said:
Hey! Looks like we’re in the same boat for sure! Friday the tax documents I had to resubmit were accepted but then they said I needed more proof of domicile. After an hour on hold, I finally got a supervisor who sounded annoyed and half asleep. He argued with me and asked a million questions, then said I’ll put a note that your 2019 tax return is proof and they’ll review it, call back next week. I was under the impression supervisors could push your case through but I guess not. Pretty frustrated but hoping for answers and approval next week to be DQed. I’m worried the embassy will close due to level 5 lockdown
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-20 said:
Good to know we're not alone in it. Have you guys heard anything on embassy closing?
Thewander on 2020-10-20 said:
I talked to the lady at the medical office where we have the medical exams and she said they’ll continue doing medical exams and that she hasn’t heard anything of the embassy stopping interviews so she believes they’ll continue. Let’s hope that’s true! I’m still waiting on the proof of domicile to be approved. So annoyed. Calling tomorrow.
JolieBR19 on 2020-10-20 said:
Ya hopefully that's true. Good to know if so. Ughhh I'm sorry!! Hopefully you're DQ this week!
blank avatar Familybasedvisa12 on 2020-12-24 said:
Hey there - have you heard anything regarding an interview at the embassy? We were DQ around the same time.
Thewander on 2020-12-24 said:
Nothing at all 😭 we’ve seen people get interviews who were DQed in September though so I have hope we’ll be soon. Though I’m curious if the embassy has stopped interviews due to the néw lockdown. This time around retail & gyms can stay open so I’m hoping the embassy can too. Tried calling and emailing but no answer.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
